barcelona, the mediterranean, and why I left but still call it home

barcelona the mediterranean city

A blast from the past! This pic I took sometime in 2013 or 2014 when I was living in Barcelona!

It was a messy lifestyle: working full-time in an awful call center job, living in shared apartments with strangers which I absolutely hated and still feeling the full-blown aftermath of the economical Spanish crises!

The upsides of living there: beach every day, the most amazing fish and seafood tapas, the most delicious fresh fruit, hashimoto symptoms kept at bay thanks to the Mediterranean climate and food, overcoming depression and eating disorders and finally being able to love and enjoy food.

And now one reached the point that I want to leave Germany as urgently as I wanted to leave Barcelona back in the days! Because after a while life there was just too crazy and I wanted more calm and quiet.

Now I want the calm and quiet mediterranean island lifestyle. In a coastal town, no big city hectic like Barcelona again. But make it Mediterranean.

But whenever I come to Barcelona now, it still kinda feels like home. With the only difference that i just don't wanna live there ever again visiting is fine though.
