i canceled adobe. and i'm not even sorry.

I can’t believe I finally did it! I canceled. I canceled my Adobe subscriptions even though I love working with illustrator and photoshop!

But honestly money is too tight right now for keeping them! I’ll see how I like working with affinity. Who knows, maybe I’ll enjoy it a lot more than I can imagine right now. And it costs nothing!

I’m really not a fan of subscription models in general. They pile up quickly costing lots of money in the end! Also I have decided to get more serious about video editing again. Also not happy here to pay lots of money for FinalCut which I used to work with as a media design student, so I’ll try another free program as well: DaVinci Resolve.

And this honestly is my biggest surprise, I didn’t expect to ever get interested again in doing anything with video and motion picture.

Sometimes I felt studying media design was a waste of time but now my interest in it seems to come back!

Even my desire for creating video is coming back - but I won't spend hundreds on FinalCut here now. Nope, instead I will download DaVinci Resolve which costs nothing and start working with that.

I honestly did never expect to ever enjoy making video content again (last time I did was back in university) but now since I have so much fun creating silly reels for Instagram, I decided to take it to the next level. There might be some real documentary filmmaking again in the near future. Stay tuned!

Oh and regarding Photoshop and Illustrator, I believe once my financial situation is better again, I will return to my beloved programs that were a pain in the ass to learn back in the days. But until then I try to survive with Affinity Vector and Pixel.
