Last week I posted a super delish salad on instagram - it got zero likes. I reposted it, again zero likes. So today I decided to get super dramatic and to turn it into a story complaining about the zero likes and that the salad now deserves a proper breakdown with a proper cry. Totally supporting this message with a Cuban bolero by Omara Portuondo.
Because that's exactly the kind of music our poor salad deserves here.
Yes that's the thing with rejection. It just stings. It hurts. Even a salad getting zero likes can feel like a major meltdown on a bad day. And then I had Marie Forleo in my Instagram feed talking about rejection and how we should all eat rejection for breakfast in order to succeed. Yes Marie, doing that every single day. I hope I'm getting closer to my breakthrough. At least I got a like from Marie Forleo for reposting her rejection story. The irony.
I'll have chocolate for breakfast tomorrow - chocolate milk to be precise cause I already ate all the chocolate in my house. Chocolate rejection right here cause I ran out of it.
And yes, it is getting easier to deal with rejection. Rejection builds resilience at least.
Stay strong and keep going! No matter how many million rejections you get. I am doing the same here. We will get there, one rejection at a time.
Peace out
With love.
