Ah yes, times are tough - but so are you!
And from time to time everything just seems to get a little too much. The economy, the job and money situation, health issues...
I'm sure you know the feeling! And have you ever felt burnt out? Have you ever felt by 1 pm that you're done with the day and all you want now is to escape to sleep in order to not feel the inner pain and exhaustion anymore?
If you ask me, yes - that's a feeling I'm very familiar with. Sleeping through the night is pretty much impossible, eating with joy - what the heck is that? Sustaining yourself seems like a real battlefield. That's no bueno!
Instead of pushing yourself harder and harder, the healthier alternative is:
Acceptance.
Stepping back.
Resting.
Feeling the feelings.
In order to not burn out completely.
Focus on yourself and make your health and your healing your top priority. It might seem like a real challenge when you're used to pushing through instead of accepting the point where further pushing will feel like a blizzard hitting your face and burying you under masses of snow.
But we rather wanna be that snowman standing up again - and therefore we have to protect ourselves
So for me it now means to focus on rebuilding my emotional and physical health. That's my top priority. Anything else follows afterwards.
Because you can't pour from an empty cup! It's just impossible!
