Currently I'm pouring all my energy into creating my amazing online-shop with fun products like posters, tote bags and hoodies to begin with. It's a print on demand shop which means that once a customer orders the order goes to the closest printer nearby who's part of the network and then the product gets printed and shipped to the customer right away.
Which is great for me because I can solely focus on the design part without having to worry about logistics and shipping.
So, I have been working on setting up my shop now every day and I really love doing it. It makes me so happy, I did not even expect this since many years ago when I had my first Shopify online-shop I really didn't enjoy working in the backend. But that was around 5 years ago and now it is a lot more user friendly.
This weekend I wanted to create more products and order more samples since I wanna hold my products in my hands as well before they leave any warehouse to get shipped to a future customer.
But technical glitches forced me to slow down and to really take a break. My mouse broke and I can't stand working with that annoying scroll pad on my laptop. Yes, maybe some people aren't bothered by that - but I don't fall into this category,
So instead I did this weekend what weekends are meant for: resting.
And it is something I often struggle with. To rest whenever I need it and when I'm clearly exhausted. Basically I only rest when I'm physically sick - and I know this is not good.
Therefore it needed a broken mouse to make me rest. Instead of working on my shop then I cooked the most delicious tomato sauce. I think the original recipe is by Marcella Hazan and it's a real winner. Only tomatoes, butter, an onion that gets discarded after cooking and salt. Oh, and I also added a bit of sugar since IMHO a good tomato sauce needs a bit of sugar as well to balance out the acidity.
What about you? Is resting something that comes easy for you or do you struggle as I do with rest and need a technical glitch or some kind of infection to slow you down?
Love,
Phyllis
