talking about burnout

Sometimes it takes a while to see that you’re burned out and depressed.

Things that normally wouldn’t bother you are triggering you.

Daily tasks feel overwhelming.

You have no energy.

Sleeping through the night is difficult.

Appetite?! Gone. Eating is a struggle.

Things that normally bring you joy…not at this point.

Socializing?! Absolutely no desire!

Shoulders, neck and back are hard like a rock. Frequent headaches.

Leaving the house costs too much energy.

By 1 pm you feel like you’re done with the day and all you want is rest and being left alone.

Taking good care of yourself gets harder and harder.

You start questioning what happened to your will to live and the joy you normally feel for the little things in life.

Then maybe it’s time to accept that life’s on hold until your body and soul have healed enough in order to get back to normal.

Be kind to yourself.

This shall pass as well.
