I believe no other habit so far has had such an amazing impact on my wellbeing like daily journaling.
And I don't talk about the old-school journaling style here on paper.
Even though I'm normally very much your paper and pen kinda gal but for daily journaling my best practice is the digital way.
Because I type much faster than I can write on paper with a pen!
I started writing every day on 750 words and I happily pay 5 dollars monthly for using this service - but I believe you can also use other providers that are free of charge.
And I'm proud of myself. I had a streak of more than 100 days of daily journaling and I only broke that streak on one day when I felt physically too ill to write because I was in pain.
But honestly, every day is a fresh start - and missing a day because you're sick? That isn't failure at all. It only meant prioritizing getting physically well again and then getting back to journaling the next day.
Nothing has cleared my head and mind ever as much as this daily journaling practice. I'm still amazed about what it does for me.
Yeah, meditation is great. Therapy can be super helpful. Spending time in nature, walking and getting a good step count in - all of that helps. But journaling will always be my favorite.
It's like self-coaching and self-parenting and that does wonders.
The clarity it creates is just mind-blowing!
What about you? Have you tried daily journaling? Hit reply and let me know!
