and nooo - it ain't that bubbly bath with candle light and a glass of wine like Hollywood movies are framing it!
Also the purest form of self-love doesn't translate into going to a super fancy restaurant. Yes, that's fun but that's not what I mean here!
Now I'm gonna spill the beans what I'm talking about here!
The truest form of self-love is self-discipline!
And yes, many people aren't aware of that. When they hear the term self-love they think about fancy yoga sessions, healthy poke bowls and bubbly candle-light bath sessions at home. But that ain't the real deal - that's just some extra fun.
But following-through to the promises you made to yourself.
Being disciplined even if you don't feel like doing it.
Showing up every single day without any damn excuses.
That's the truest form of self-love and believe me, it's powerful.
Cause you're building inner strength and no one can ever take that from you.
Of course listen to your body, if you're sick with some kind of infection or so - then of course take the rest your body needs and don't beat yourself up to perform.
But apart from that, don't let your mood dictate if you follow-through or not.
Make self-discipline an habit and then you follow-through on autopilot!
And now I wanna know from you! You already developed your inner self-discipline muscle or are you still struggling here? Hit reply and let me know!
xoxo - Phyllis
P.S. self-discipline is like a muscle that can be trained. Just focus on one single task for 40 days, follow-through every single day and then you do it on autopilot! I learned doing that and if I made it, so can you!
