She arrived through the specific exhaustion of being a one-woman operation in a system designed for large entities with HR departments and tax advisors on retainer. She invoiced. She filled out the ELSTER forms at midnight because that is when the anxiety peaked and at least doing something felt better than lying there calculating how much she owed on income she had not yet received.
