The appointment was supposed to be routine. A mandatory Gutachter visit before the GKV would approve the dental replacement her actual dentist had already diagnosed, planned, and documented. Stress-induced bruxism. Years of freelance precarity, government overreach, Hashimoto's, and a body that processed all of it through the jaw. The treatment plan was clear. The need was obvious. Obviously.

What happened instead: a Gutachterin who arrived with a different theory. Who looked at the X-rays, ignored the bruxism diagnosis entirely, and decided the real problem was bulimia. Who kept returning to that conclusion despite being told — clearly, calmly, multiple times — that there was no bulimia. Who never once mentioned the word bruxism. Not once. The heat in the room was unbearable. The fear was worse. She walked out feeling like she had lost something she could not name. Made a fruit salad at home that she could not eat. Cried the next morning. Obviously. 💙

It is for the one who went in with documentation and left feeling like the accused.
It is for the one who has paid disproportionately high health insurance contributions for years and is now fighting for the first benefit she has ever claimed.
It is for the one who knows that with money, none of this tribunal would exist — she would simply pay for the best implants available and never set foot in a Gutachter waiting room again.
